Missing first-year College student found, safe

Monday night search for D'Amario successfully locates student

Update: University officials and the University Police Department say D'Amario was successfully located and is safe.

The University announced it is investigating a missing person incident involving first-year College student Mike D’Amario.

D’Amario was last seen on Grounds at about 3:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, according to the University police. Police say that there is no reason to suspect foul play at this time.

The police released a description of D’Amario as “a white male, 5’10” tall, weighing 170 lbs. [with] brown wavy hair and brown eyes.”

University students have formed search parties via social media and are currently searching around Grounds. One search is being organized out of the men’s lacrosse house, located at 1522 Virginia Ave., according to an email communication between athletic teams.

D’Amario is a member of the men’s lacrosse team at the University and is from Niskayuna, New York.
