After an exciting NBA All-Star weekend that saw Virginia alum Joe Harris win the three-point contest, three of the four Cavaliers in the NBA returned to action on Thursday night. Harris and the Nets (30-30) came up short against the Trail Blazers, but Malcolm Brogdon played a crucial role in the Bucks’ (44-14) close win over the Celtics and Mike Scott’s 76ers (38-21) emerged victorious against the Heat. Justin Anderson and the Hawks (19-40) returned to action on Friday night against the Pistons, and lost.

A week in review:
Despite losing on Thursday, Harris had a great week, beating out a loaded field that included two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry to win the three-point contest on Saturday night. He returned to action on Thursday. Harris and the Nets fell to Portland, a playoff team that currently sits fourth in the Western Conference. Harris scored 13 points in 29 minutes and shot 50 percent from the field, despite missing all three of his three-point attempts. He will look to bounce back on Saturday against the Hornets in a matchup with crucial playoff implications.

Malcolm Brogdon, point guard, Milwaukee Bucks
A week in review:
Brogdon returned to action Thursday night after the All-Star break. In a matchup between two of the Eastern Conference’s best teams, Brogdon had a characteristically solid game, scoring 15 points, along with six rebounds and four assists. Seven of his points and three of his assists came in the fourth quarter. Brogdon and the Bucks currently sit at first place in the East, with an outstanding record of 44-14. Up next for Brogdon and the Bucks is a matchup against the Timberwolves on Saturday night.

Mike Scott, power forward, Philadelphia 76ers
A week in review:
Scott, who was recently traded to the 76ers, played 17 minutes in Philadelphia’s win against Miami. He scored three points and had two rebounds. His third team in two seasons, Scott will look to find some consistency in Philadelphia. The 76ers’ next game is on Saturday afternoon against the Trailblazers.
