I think it’s funny that Adam Michel once again spent exorbitantly…and once again failed to win in a multiple-winner Honor Committee race. What a waste of money and time in my opinion.

I actually think that above a certain dollar amount, there is an inverse correlation between how much you spend on your campaign and how many votes you get. Look at Peter Townsend (not to be confused with the Who’s leadman). I voted for Jen Bristol even though I did not know a thing about her or her campaign. I just voted for her to spite Peter Townsend, whose goofy smiling face I was tired of seeing plastered all over handbills and posters. Jen Bristol won, surprise surprise. I’m sure I’m not alone in “hating” those who spend 100’s of dollars just to fund a measly worthless student council election!

Man Avator should have been a no brainer to win. The only reason why I can think that it didnt win was because it was such a commercial hit. The question the Academy needs to be asking themselves is what will we be watching 20 years from now. Avator or Hurt Locker? Easy Avator!!!!

Haha I didn’t realize how hard it was to make Indian food until I had to cook a South Indian dish for my culinary class. My mom made it look so simple (we’re south indian) but when it came to adding the spices and flavors… I was so lost, haha. But yeah! Pav Bhaji is the bomb!

I think this is a really good point…a lot of my friends go on mission trips during Spring and Summer break and they are sometimes surprised that they are not welcome. Students should really keep in mind that not everyone shares western views and that sometimes volunteers are not seen as a helping hand but an insult.
At the same time I’ve heard a lot of people say they were very warmly welcomed by people they thought would hate them. I guess it depends on the region you go to and the situation the country is in.

As I have been reading and keeping up with this case, I found some articles that talk about how police will likely catch Morgan’s killer now. The articles are on a website called Associated Content. The writer’s name is Radell Hunter. I think she is some kind of serial crime profiler or something.

The VA tech killings are bizarre.

There may be some international organized criminals who are trying to use this as a way to steal our civil rights.
