​#HoosGotYourBack pledges increase from last year

More than 750 University students lined up at the south end of the Lawn Friday to sign the Hoos Got Your Back pledge, a personal commitment to be active in the fight against sexual and gender-based violence. This is the second year for the pledge — 702 students joined the cause last year.

Student Council, City Council launch student liaison partnership

The Charlottesville City Council unanimously passed a plan last week to establish a University student liaison to the city council. This liaison will act as a link between the University and the City, providing a way for both parties to easily communicate questions and concerns.
