There was a running joke in my hall last year that whenever someone would drop something thrown at them, they would be accused of "pulling a Sene." I'm ashamed to admit how long we kept this game going, but in all honesty, the basketball player didn't really give us much reason to stop.

The snooze bowl

The Super Bowl: the "most epic day in America," according to that ridiculous Visa commercial I'm sure you've seen several thousand times by now.

Playing to win

In 2002, Herm Edwards, then head coach of the New York Jets, uttered what has since become one of the most famous sayings among sport fans and talking heads alike: "You play to win the game." Edwards' comment may seem simplistic and obvious at first glance.

Learning by gaming

Like most other responsible college students, I found something other than my studies to occupy my time this past weekend.

Let me begin by saying what we're all thinking and paraphrase one of the greatest thinkers of the 20th century: screw it, dude, let's go bowling. That's right, Cavalier fans.
