Leaders discuss education policy

University President Teresa Sullivan participated alongside some of region’s leading educators and community leaders Saturday in a forum entitled “The State of Education in America: The Cause & The Solution.”

Hogan announces reorganization

Changes to the structure of Executive Vice President Patrick Hogan’s office took effect Monday, including the reorganization of the management team in lieu of hiring a new Chief Financial Officer. The restructuring, announced last week, seeks to promote the streamlining goals laid out by University President Teresa Sullivan.

Graduate student announces City Council candidacy

Graduate Arts & Sciences student Adam Lees has announced he is intending to run for a seat on the Charlottesville City Council this November to improve the University’s relationship with the community and better represent students in City Hall.

Moores wins Marshall award

University Army Cadet Aimee Moores, a member of the University’s Reserve Officers Training Corps program and a fourth-year College student, was awarded the 2013 General George C. Marshall Award last week.
