Jesse Matthew was taken into police custody earlier today in Galveston, Texas, Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy Longo confirmed Wednesday evening.
Charlottesville police have revised the charges against Jesse Matthew to include abduction with intent to defile, a class-two felony charge, in the investigation into the disappearance of second-year College student Hannah Graham, who has been missing since early morning Sept.
Eighteen people sit on the University Board of Visitors. Only seventeen, however, have voting power on the Board and one — fourth-year College student Meg Gould — is there to help ensure the Board understands the breadth of the student experience when making their decisions. “You are essentially serving as a sounding board for a lot of these issues that affect students,” Gould said.
At its meeting this week, the Board of Visitors will consider the proposed budget for the 2014-15 fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30, 2015. The nearly $2.8 billion dollar budget includes a $100 million, or 3.7 percent, increase from the current fiscal year.
