Women's tennis overcomes flu, tops No. 42 Utah 4-3

Despite having to forfeit a singles point and a doubles court due to multiple players coming down with the flu, the No. 5 Virginia women’s tennis team improved to 2-0 on the season Thursday night with a 4-3 win against No. 42 Utah.

Sophomore outside hitter Haley Kole had 10 kills as the Cavaliers dropped to 1-1 against Virginia Tech this season. 

Volleyball falls flat against Virginia Tech

In the latest edition of the Commonwealth Clash, the Virginia volleyball team fell against rival Virginia Tech Friday night, 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-21, 25-20). The Cavaliers jumped out to a 1-0 lead but proceeded to drop the next three sets, splitting the season series with the Hokies after a comeback 3-2 win Oct. 12 in Blacksburg.
