The Sept. 13 disappearance of second-year College student Hannah Graham led to a long investigation by the Charlottesville Police Department and the eventual tragic discovery and identification of her body on Oct. 24. Albemarle County resident Jesse Matthew was arrested in relation to the disappearance on Sept. 24 with charges of abduction with intent to defile.

This year, The Cavalier Daily turns 125 years old. To mark the occasion, and in recognition of the many alumni coming back to Grounds for Homecomings this weekend, we’ve compiled a selection of articles from The Cavalier Daily archives. The articles are presented as they were originally written, with the author, headline and accompanying photo presented when available.
Location: Located at the heart of the University, Lawn rooms house 54 fourth-year students, selected for the rooms through a competitive application process. The Lawn is also home to the Rotunda, the University's original library, and serves as a venue for a wide range of student activities.
Construction on Grounds The University will continue construction on Grounds through the summer months, though it will terminate brick paving outside of Clark Hall before Final Exercises. The University will complete renovations in New Cabell Hall by the end of the summer and will continue to build residence halls on Alderman Road for the fall of 2015.
