The Honor Committee has postponed the eight remaining meetings of its Constitutional Convention to January. During its meeting Sunday, the group also voted to pass two new bylaws. The meeting met quorum with 16 members present, meaning the Committee could vote on constitutional matters and bylaws.

The Audit, Compliance and Risk Committee held its first meeting Thursday to discuss the Annual Compliance Report, as well as to evaluate changes made to safety and security since the events of Aug. 11 and 12, 2017. The Board of Visitors’ U.Va. Wise Committee met the following morning to discuss bylaw revisions for the College and heard updates from representatives on plans for increased enrollment and outreach.

Students had varied responses to the University’s recent changes in COVID-19 policy – including lifting the weekly testing requirement for unvaccinated students, phasing out saliva testing for asymptomatic students and implementing a mask-optional policy for classrooms. While some students and professors felt that the decision was justified given the recent decline in COVID-19 cases, others feared a resurgence in cases.
