Men's tennis wins eighth consecutive ACC Championship

The No. 4 Virginia men’s tennis team continued its ACC dominance Sunday, defeating No. 9 North Carolina to clinch the program’s eighth straight ACC Tournament title and 10th in the past 11 years. With the victory against the Tar Heels, the Cavaliers extended their conference match win streak to 121 matches.

Top-seed Virginia preps for start of ACCs

The No. 4 Virginia men’s tennis team begins its postseason in Cary, N.C. this weekend at the ACC Tournament. The Cavaliers have won the tournament title nine out of the last ten years, with 2006 being the lone exception as they fell to then-No. 3 Duke in the Finals, 4-3.

No. 4 men's tennis to close season against Hokies

The No. 4 Virginia men’s tennis team concludes its regular season as they take on No. 36 Virginia Tech on Saturday morning in Blacksburg. The Cavaliers moved up one spot in the national rankings after an impressive weekend in which they took down No. 32 North Carolina State and No. 25 Wake Forest.

No. 5 Men's tennis breaks ACC all-sport record

In the final two home matches of the season, the No. 5 Virginia men’s tennis team celebrated the careers of its seniors — Alex Domijan, Justin Shane and Ian Uriguen — clinched its 11th consecutive ACC regular season title and broke an all-sport ACC record.

No. 5 Cavs host Wolfpack, Demon Deacons

The No. 5 Virginia men’s tennis team hosts No. 23 Wake Forest and No. 32 North Carolina State on Friday and Saturday for their final home matches of the regular season. With wins over both squads this weekend, the Cavaliers (17-2, 8-0 ACC) would clinch at least a share of the regular season ACC title for an unprecedented 11th consecutive year.

Men's Tennis heads west to play UCLA, Loyola Marymount

The No. 2 Virginia men’s tennis team hits the road Thursday, travelling to Los Angeles for a pair of matches against No. 3 UCLA and Loyola Marymount. The Cavaliers defeated No. 13 Baylor and No. 9 Notre Dame last weekend in Charlottesville, each by a score of 6-1, to bounce back from a 4-3 loss at the hands of No. 1 Ohio State in the ITA Indoor Semifinals.

Men's tennis opens outdoor season

The Virginia men’s tennis team will return to the Snyder Tennis Center outdoor courts this weekend for the first time this year. The Cavaliers will play a slew of challenging contests, with a Saturday matchup against Baylor and Sunday matchups against Liberty and ACC foe Notre Dame.
