Volleyball falls in straight sets at No. 21 Duke

The Virginia volleyball team took a 23-22 lead in the third set against Duke Friday night, but it was too little too late as the No. 21 Blue Devils (15-4, 7-1 ACC) secured three straight points to take the set and match (25-14, 25-18, 25-23) for their 10th straight win.

Volleyball hits the road for two conference contests

The Virginia women’s volleyball team will play its first two ACC road games this weekend, traveling to take on twelfth-ranked North Carolina on Friday and in-state foe Virginia Tech on Sunday. The Cavaliers (10-7, 3-1) have won three of their first four conference games, including a 3-1 win against Louisville last Saturday, and they’re looking to continue their early success.

Volleyball preps for games against Duke, Louisville

The Virginia volleyball team looks to remain unbeaten in the ACC this weekend as they welcome Duke and Louisville to Memorial Gym.The Cavaliers (9-6, 2-0) got back on the winning track last weekend against Clemson and Wake Forest after losing six of seven games over the previous two weeks. Virginia had its best offensive performance of the season against Wake Forest, recording a .383 hitting percentage.


Senior outside hitter Tori Janowski tallied 34 kills in the Virginia wins, becoming the 16th player in program history to surpass 1,000 kills for her career.

Cavaliers stumble at Wildcat Challenge

The Virginia volleyball team lost all three of its matches against Loyola, Youngstown State and host Northwestern at the Wildcat Challenge in Evanston, Ill. this past weekend after starting the season 6-0 for the first time since 2003.


	The Virginia volleyball team is 6-0 to start a season for the first time since 2003, and junior middle hitter Natalie Bausback, the tournament MVP of both the Cavalier Classic and the Marshall Thunder Invitational, is a big reason why.
