I was interested to read The Cavalier Daily's recent editorial ("Fresh ideas," Sept. 9) regarding the City Market. I, myself, have been an avid market-goer for as long as I have been at the University. From April to December it is where I buy the greater part of my food, and it is always a joy to go there on Saturday mornings.

OSAMA BIN Laden is dead, killed along with several of his associates by a Navy SEAL team inside his Pakistani hideaway. His killing removes an undoubtedly evil man who, if he had become increasingly irrelevant in recent years, nevertheless remained a potent symbol of opposition to the United States. We should be glad that he is gone and thankful to his killers who risked their lives for this success.

I sympathize wholeheartedly with the members of the Living Wage Campaign described in your April 21 article ("Protest targets salaries"), and applaud them for holding President Sullivan's administration to account. I would, however, remind the student featured in the photograph accompanying the article that "privilige" is in fact spelled with an "e." Privileged as we all are to attend this University, we would do better to pay attention to these details. The spelling of a protest sign may seem unimportant, but it can make all the difference between being taken seriously and being dismissed out of hand.
