McEachin is running for attorney general on the platform of fiscal responsibility in light of the General Assembly's inability to pass a budget this year

On the issues

Higher education: McEachin supports Virginia's colleges and universities and believes the tuition freeze is important to keep the costs down.

Northern Virginia tax referendum: McEachin wants to let the people of Northern Virginia decide. Richmond should not be involved in a local issue.

Abortion: He is pro-choice and supports Roe v. Wade. However, he did vote in favor of parental notification for minors.

Environment: As attorney general, McEachin says he would be more sensitive to environmental issues than Republican attorney generals have in the past. He also would encourage the federal government not to import trash into the state.

Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond.
