Sexual harassment alleged at Howard U.

Howard University currently is investigating whether a professor asked students to pose seminude for a magazine he edits.

African-American Studies Prof. Nikongo BaNikongo, who edits Caribbean Pride magazine, is being charged with sexual harassment by multiple former students.

According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, one student, Stephanie Holland alleges BaNikongo asked her to pose in a bathing suit last summer. When she refused, BaNikongo gave her a "D incomplete" in his course.

Another student said she did pose for a photograph that ran in the magazine last year. Still others, who wish to remain nameless, allege the professor approached them about being photographed.

The women are pressing sexual harassment charges.

BaNikongo, who has taught at Howard for 10 years, denies the allegations.
