Daily show satirist to match wits with Professor Larry Sabato

Mo Rocca, senior political correspondent for Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," will join Politics Prof. Larry Sabato, in a discussion about political humor in Old Cabell Hall tonight at 8.

The discussion is part of the National Symposium on Political Humor, which will explore the impact of humor on American politics and society. The symposium is sponsored by the Center for Politics and University Programs Council.

This is the fourth installment of the National Symposium Series put on by the Center for Politics. Last year, the symposium focused on wartime politics in the wake of September 11.

Tonight's forum launches the six-week symposium, which will also feature a Herblock Political Cartoons Exhibit at the University's Art Museum as well as presentations from several political satirists, writers, and producers.

Admission is free for tonight's forum but seating is limited and audience members are encouraged to come early.
