Pizza Hut robbed, suspect flees with $20

A woman who remains at large robbed a Charlottesville Pizza Hut around 8 p.m. Wednesday night.

The suspect entered the restaurant and fled on foot after she took $20. Restaurant employees did not have enough time to open the register to take out more money before the woman left.

Police describe the woman as being in her late teens or early twenties. Restaurant employees said that she was wearing a sweatshirt at the time of the crime.

The Pizza Hut, located in the 1500 block of East High Street south of Free Bridge, remains open.
