Shock and dismay

Estimated reading time: 0 minutes

I would like to express my shock and dismay at an error I found in today's paper.

The article quoted from the Washington Post was in fact not about Israel at all, but rather was about Hamas: the Palestinian faction currently in control of the Gaza Strip. Contrary to the title, Israel had nothing to do with these killings.

This kind of mistake should never be acceptable, especially considering the historic passion this conflict has given rise to, not only within the Middle East but within the United States and even here at the University. Moreover, at a time where mounting pressure is being put on Israel as secret talks are underway in Shepherdstown, WV, this kind of mistake is more then simply misinformative
