Seniors gear for last home game

No. 11 Virginia hosts No. 5 Northwestern Saturday, hopes to rekindle fading aspirations for postseason

In what could be its final game of 2011, the No. 11 Virginia women's lacrosse team will host No. 5 Northwestern tomorrow. After losing at No. 12 James Madison earlier in the week, the Cavaliers are desperate for a victory to revive their fading postseason aspirations. The Cavaliers have fallen to 9-7 (1-4 ACC) and can ill-afford to end their regular season with a third consecutive loss as they try to earn a bid to the NCAA tournament in May.

Tomorrow's game will take on extra significance for the team's four seniors - defenders Liz Downs, Marghi Walters, Molly McClintic and Boyd Vicars. They will be playing their final home game at Kl
