Jesse Matthew expected to enter plea bargain at hearing Wednesday

Matthew is anticipated to enter a plea bargain for both Hannah Graham, Morgan Harrington murder cases

Jesse Matthew Jr. is scheduled for a hearing Wednesday in which he is expected to enter into a plea bargain for both cases of the abduction and murder of Hannah Graham and Morgan Harrington, according to a statement from Commonwealth’s Attorney Robert Tracci.

Matthew is facing charges of capital murder and abduction with intent to defile in the case of late University student Hannah Graham, as well as charges of first-degree murder and abduction with intent to defile in connection with the 2009 disappearance of Morgan Harrington.

Tracci said the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office is unable to provide further comment on either the plea agreement or any information related to the case.

Matthew’s hearing is scheduled for for 1:30 p.m. March 2 in the Albemarle County Circuit Court.
