Anne Holton to campaign for Clinton in Charlottesville

Plans to speak on Clinton, Kaine's education proposals

Anne Holton, former Virginia Secretary of Education, will campaign in Charlottesville on Friday for Hillary Clinton.

Holton is the wife of Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), the Democratic nominee for vice president. She stepped down as Secretary of Education after her husband was chosen as Clinton’s running mate.

Before appearing in Charlottesville, Holton will also campaign in her hometown of Roanoke, Va. According to the campaign, she is expected to discuss Clinton and Kaine’s goal for the economy, specifically the goal to make community college free for all Americans.

Holton will also speak on the importance of registering to vote before Virginia’s deadline on Oct. 17.

The event in Charlottesville will be held at the Clinton campaign office on the Downtown Mall at 112 W. Main St., Suite B at 4:15 pm.
