Rotunda Stop...

First-year College Student

What is the best trip you've ever taken by bus?

The best trip by bus would have to be when I went to Washington, D.C., last year. It was kind of a random trip that my friends and I decided to take. We were just sitting around one day, and I'm from Pennsylvania. We thought it'd be cool to just do something weird. So that morning we got on a bus and went to D.C. for the day. We basically just saw the sites and went to all the touristy type things. My aunt lives close by so we stopped by there for dinner. It was just a weird, random thing to do. We gave that a shot, and it was a lot of fun.

Any other random stories?

I've missed my stop quite a few times by falling asleep. I've only been here for a week, and I was on the blue route. I wanted to get off at this stop actually [by Alderman Road], but I ended up going all the way to Barracks Road. I got confused, so I got off there and walked back. Thankfully, I didn't have a class.

Did you ever want to be a bus driver when you were little?

Honestly, no. Especially in grade school when you see what the kids do and how rowdy they get, I guess I never really wanted to have to deal with that.

Do you have any horror stories from elementary school?

It was fifth grade, and I went to a private Catholic school. They're really strict about everything there. One day, I popped some popcorn to take into school, and I put it in my backpack before getting on the bus. The whole bus smelled it, and they thought it was the worst smell ever. Basically, mass chaos went off in the bus because they thought I had this bad smelling popcorn. I got called to the principal's office that day.The only detention of my life is from that popcorn.
