New Board Created to Help Staff Union

The University has formed a new advisory board that will aid the Staff Union.

The board consists of community members, business and political leaders.

The Union will attempt to reach a hopeful, 1,000 members.

Vice Mayor Meredith Richards is the chair of the board.

Also on the board are Delegate Mitch Van Yahres, Virginia Organizing Project member Joe Szakos, and Quality Community Councilor Karen Waters.

The board held its first meeting this past week and plans to meet again September 23.
