Panel to investigate alleged sex parties

The University of Colorado at Boulder is dealing with allegations that its football program used sex parties to entice potential football players during recruitment trips to campus.

U.C. Boulder plans to create a special panel to investigate the allegations, according to an article in the Chronicle of Higher Education.

Recently, Colorado Gov. Bill Owens urged U.C. Boulder leaders to disclose all the facts related to these allegations.

These investigations were prompted by two women who claim to have been raped by football players at one of these recruitment parties in December 2001. A woman who allegedly was raped by two football players after a party also pressed charges.

Since then all three women have sued the U.C. Boulder, saying that the university fostered an environment that made the "harassment and the victimization" of women possible.
