Why did you decide to run for office?
After spending a year as both First-Year Council President and a member of Student Council representative body, I developed a vision of the immense potential that Student Council has. My vision for Student Council over the next three years includes improving student life in specific areas that I hope to champion as an activist and representative of various student voices.
What makes you a qualified candidate?
Throughout my term as First-Year President, I've been a man about results. I feel that my determination and devotion will bring heart to the Student Council executive body. After working intensely with seven unique committees throughout First-Year Council, I have grown immensely as both a leader and a servant to my constituents.
In your opinion, what are the most pressing issues facing the University and how would you use your office to deal with them?
After spending a year working with Student Council as First-Year President, I learned about many of the big advancements made by the University through construction projects. After doing some research I learned more about each project and realized that the average student has only a vague idea of what is actually being built around them.
What do you hope to accomplish with your position?
My platform is increasing student involvement and awareness on grounds. I hope to promote campus awareness in the subjects of on-Grounds construction, diversity and initiatives and developments within Student Council.
