Men's Tennis cracks top ten for first time in school history

The Virginia men's tennis team is ranked No. 10 this week, their highest ranking in team history and first ever in the national Top Ten. The previous record was set two weeks ago, when the Cavaliers rose to No. 12 in the rankings.

Virginia just completed one of its most successful seasons in history, finishing with a 19-3 overall record. A win over Duke Sunday clinched a share of the ACC regular season title, with the Blue Devils and North Carolina, the first conference championship for the Cavaliers. Virginia finished 7-1 in the ACC, with their lone loss coming against co-champion North Carolina. The only other two Virginia losses came against a pair of top-15 teams -- top-ranked Illinois and No. 14 TCU.

The Cavaliers will be tested as a top-10 team for the first time Friday in the ACC quarterfinals against Florida State.
