Virginia swimming teams dominate ACC Awards

Both the men's and women's swimming teams had a strong showing Wednesday, winning four of six annual ACC swimming awards.

Sophomore Fran Crippen earned ACC Male Swimmer of the Year for the second time in a row. For the sixth year in a row, coach Mark Bernardino won Men's Coach of the Year for guiding the Cavaliers to their sixth straight ACC championship. The award was his 11th overall in 26 years with the Cavaliers. Virginia also won both the Men's and Women's Rookie of the Year awards, marking the fourth straight season a Cavalier has won the award. Vanja Rogulj, a former Croatian Olympian, was named on the men's side, while Kimi Kelly was selected for the women.
