Former women's basketball standout to face court date

A court date has been set for former women's basketball guard Cherrie Graham. Earlier this summer, Graham was arrested after allegedly assaulting two Charlottesville police officers after a dispute involving her towed car. She faces charges of assault and battery and obstruction of justice, and is scheduled to be back in Charlottesville circuit court in February.

Graham, a 5-foot-7-inch guard, was the Cavaliers' leading scorer in the 2002-2003 season, scoring 14.8 points per game coming off the bench.She left the Virginia team in August 2003 with eligibility citing personal reasons.
