Wigger leads golf to 14th place finish

The No. 14 Virginia women's golf team finished 14th at the Mason Rudolph Championship this past weekend. The Cavaliers shot a 308 on Sunday to finish with a team score of 905 (+41).

Virginia was led by sophomore Leah Wigger, who shot an even par 216. Wigger's score put her in a five-way tie for third place. It was her second top-10 finish of the fall season.

Freshman Lauren Meilbrecht shot a 222 (+6) to finish 20th in the tournament and second for the Cavaliers.

The tournament was won by Georgia's Jackie Beers, who shot a four-under-par 68 on the final day to finish with a 212 (-4) for the tournament.
