Body of missing UF student may be found in Jacksonville

A body found Wednesday near a Jacksonville parking garage is believed to be that of missing University of Florida student David R. Ferguson, according to The Independent Alligator.

Police found the body between the parking garage and an adjacent building.

Ferguson had been missing since Saturday morning after driving to Jacksonville along with two friends for a Florida-Georgia football game, the article said.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told the Alligator it could not speculate as to the cause of death.

A friend of Ferguson's told the Alligator Ferguson was inebriated at the game, and Ferguson disappeared when a fight broke out at the stadium. The article said that was the last time Ferguson was seen.
