Madison House announces new members

Madison House has announced the newly-elected student candidates of its Board of Directors, according to Heather Flow, co-chair of the 2004-2005 Board. This list will be presented to the entire Board of Directors to be confirmed by vote in April, board member Tom Fitch said.

The Board of Directors consists of eight students, seven representatives from the University, seven representatives from the community and Cynthia Fredrick, the executive director of Madison House. Of the eight students, five are Madison House program directors, one has Student Council experience and one holds an at-large student position, Flow said.

Students are chosen through a process that includes both an application and an interview, Flow said.

The Board of Directors is really looking forward to a new year at Madison House, Fitch said.

Flow said she has a similar outlook.

"The new members will be great -- they are really excited about it, and they will continue the Madison House traditions as well as coming up with new ones of their own," Flow said.
