Last steel beam of John Paul Jones Arena put in place

Workers last Wednesday reached a major milestone in the John Paul Jones Arena construction project as the final steel high steel beam of the $129.8 million complex was put in place. The arena is scheduled to be completed in summer 2006.

Richard Laurence, director of the Multipurpose Arena Project, said the completion of the steel structure was the second of three major milestones of the construction process
