17 Living Wage Campaign protesters arrested

SATURDAY, APRIL 15, 2006, 8:15 P.M. -- Seventeen student protesters inside Madison Hall were arrested by University Police at 7 p.m. this evening on the fourth day of a sit-in conducted by members of the Living Wage Campaign.

Living Wage Campaign organizers said they did not know what particular incident prompted the arrests at that point in time. University President John T. Casteen, III had met twice with the protesters inside Madison Hall in the previous day, most recently Saturday afternoon.
