The Feb. 7, 2005 News story "Graduate student hit by car while crossing Emmet" erroneously reported that a police report said that Mihye Jeong, the pedestrian, was using a cellular phone when she was struck by a car. In fact, the police report from the accident does not say she was speaking on a cell phone. The Cavalier Daily regrets the error. In addition, the article quotes a police report saying that Jeong was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident, but does not note Jeong's contention that she was walking in a crosswalk and was pushed out by the force of the accident.
