Girls can play ball

How many times have you seen a girl playing basketball on the AFC courts? Zero, one, maybe two times. How many times have you seen guys playing basketball on the AFC courts? Every time you've been at the AFC, guaranteed.

This discrepancy results from the fact that too many people think basketball is only a guy's sport. I admit, my 8-year-old self was one of those people. When my mom told me she had signed me up to play basketball in the local recreational youth league, I replied, "No, Mom. I don't want to play basketball. That's a boy sport."
