The cursor is blinking on my blank Google Doc and I am completely terrified to write this Parting Shot. For one, it is the first and last thing that I personally write that will get published in The Cavalier Daily — the only permanent record of my time on the paper. And two, it is my last to-do at the place where I have given my heart and soul during college.

After dropping its first three ACC matchups, the Virginia volleyball team faces two more conference competitors this weekend. The Cavaliers are on a four-game losing streak and travel to Maryland Friday and Boston College Sunday in search of their first regular season win.

Although the No. 14 Virginia women's soccer team ranks first in the ACC in shots, points, goals, assists and corners, it is not ranked first in the ACC overall. Virginia just suffered its first conference loss of the season against Boston College. This Sunday at Chapel Hill, the Cavaliers look to overcome that defeat against another ACC opponent, No. 5 North Carolina.

After spending a strenuous week on the road, the No. 24 Virginia men's soccer team returns home tomorrow night to square off against Liberty in the first of four straight home matches. The Cavaliers (4-1-1, 1-0-0 ACC) are eager to face the Flames (2-1-0, 0-0-0) after a hard-fought ACC opener, during which Virginia secured a 1-0 victory against rival Duke.
