Virginia continues its championship defense with a big victory.
Although they suffered a loss, Coach Andres Pedroso was still proud of how the Cavaliers fought.
This victory highlights that Virginia continues to be a force in men’s tennis.
Coach Andres Pedroso has Virginia on top of the tennis world once again with no signs of stopping.
The set of victories gives Virginia its third straight ACC tournament victory, and has them peaking just as the NCAA championship begins.
The Cavaliers were able to stay undefeated in conference play with two strong victories over ranked opponents.
The Cavaliers got a push from both the Cardinals and Fighting Irish, but ultimately prevailed in both game son the road trip.
The opening to conference play was just what the Cavaliers needed to get back on track, having lost five of their final seven matches they had played in the indoor season.
The conclusion of the indoor portion of the season did not go as the Cavaliers had hoped, as they finished just 1-2 in the tournament.
The Cavaliers won the doubles point but was swept in the singles matches to lose to the now-No. 1 Buckeyes.
The Wildcats dealt Virginia an early blow, but the Cavaliers fought with them down to the wire and bounced back without missing a beat versus Radford.
Three members of the men's team and six members of the women's team competed in the ITA All-American Championships.
This was the first title for Coach Andres Pedroso at the helm of the program.
The Cavaliers have now won all of their NCAA Championship matches by the same score of 4-0 and will play No. 2 Florida in the quarterfinal.
