While many Virginia men’s basketball fans have yet to get over this season’s disheartening debacle, it is time for Cavalier supporters to turn their collective attention to former members of the program who are in the professional ranks. The NBA Playoffs are imminent, and many of Virginia’s former heroes will be chasing the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy. Here are a few Cavaliers that have a chance at hardware in 2024.

Virginia men’s soccer is a storied powerhouse in college soccer, boasting a staggering seven NCAA Tournament titles. Much of the credit for this success must be attributed to the Cavaliers’ exemplary coaching staff led by the indomitable Coach George Gelnovatch, but it's the players Virginia fans have cheered for over the years that truly make the difference. When Virginia fans think of the powerhouses of the University’s athletics, the school’s varsity teams come to mind. But a new dynasty is building at the club level as well. Virginia women’s rugby has overcome injury over the past two years to stake their claim as one of the best club teams in the country. It has been a dominating season for the Flamingos (6-1), winning all but one of their seven opening fixtures before regionals this fall.
