After operating with almost entirely virtual procedures during the fall semester, the University Judiciary Committee and Honor Committee chairs expressed their satisfaction with their committees’ move to an online format, noting that while the process was initially daunting for both committee executive boards and members, collaborative student efforts have allowed for a smooth transition. Both chairs said that procedures will likely remain relatively unchanged next semester.

University Democrats and College Republicans have ramped up get-out-the-vote efforts in recent weeks in preparation for Tuesday’s general election. Though COVID-19 has impacted each group’s operations this semester, club members have been gathering outdoors in masked and socially distanced groups, as well as virtually over Zoom, to participate in campaigning events.

University Intramural and Recreational Sports facilities are operating with modified protocols this semester due to COVID-19, including limited hours and required reservations by students and members for certain spaces. By and large, individuals have abided by masking and sanitation requirements — among other new regulations — and outdoor IM-Rec activities and facilities have grown in popularity.

Wastewater indicators have suggested potential COVID-19 infections in five first-year dormitories — Balz-Dobie, Lefevre, Echols, Kellogg and Hancock — so far, necessitating mandatory quarantines so that residents could comply with the University’s testing guidelines.
