Virginia volleyball (11-17, 4-14 ACC) traveled to Blacksburg to face off against in-state rival Virginia Tech (13-15, 3-17 ACC) Saturday. The Cavaliers concluded the 2023 season with a 3-0 win over the Hokies in Cassell Coliseum, after defeating them 3-2 at John Paul Jones Arena earlier the season, marking a successful sweep of the Commonwealth Clash despite an otherwise turbulent season.

Virginia volleyball traveled to Chapel Hill, N.C. to face off against North Carolina Friday, before facing Duke in Durham, N.C. Sunday. Despite optimism running high after a productive non-conference portion of the season, the Cavaliers (7-5, 0-2 ACC) lost in straight sets to both the Tar Heels (7-4, 1-1 ACC) and Blue Devils (10-3, 1-1 ACC) in a rude welcome to the ACC.

The Virginia volleyball team traveled to Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Md. to compete in the DMV Invitational. The Cavaliers (6-2, 0-0 ACC) started off the weekend against Howard University in Burr Gymnasium Friday, before traveling to the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena to play Coastal Carolina and UMBC on Saturday and Sunday.

Virginia volleyball will face Virginia Tech in John Paul Jones Arena Oct. 29th at 2 p.m. This Commonwealth Clash event will be the first volleyball contest held in the arena since its opening in 2006.

The Virginia volleyball team entered into conference play at Memorial Gymnasium this past weekend with a pair of highly competitive matches against NC State on Friday and North Carolina on Sunday. The Cavaliers (8-5, 0-2 ACC) ended ACC volleyball’s opening weekend with a record of 0-2, after bringing both matches to a fifth set.
