Breaking down U.Va.'s four-year graduation rate

The University has one of the highest four-year graduation rates in the country. In fact, U.S. News and World Report cited a four-year graduation rate of 87 percent for the University, ranking it 30th in a list of peer institutions with the highest four-year graduation rates based on data from the class of 2012.

Faculty members will vote on a proposal for new College curriculum May 4. If passed, the curriculum will go into a two-year testing period before being implemented in the 2018-19 school year.

Last month, the College’s Committee on Educational Policy and the Curriculum unanimously passed a new curriculum plan, which has been a primary initiative led by College Dean Ian Baucom since he came to the University in 2014.


A gender gap in faculty salaries

The University’s list of faculty salaries for the 2015 to 2016 academic year shows two women, across all departments, in the top twenty earners at the University.
