Virginia downs Longwood

The Virginia women's basketball team came back from a 16-point deficit late in the first half to secure a 74-63 victory against Longwood yesterday at John Paul Jones Arena. The Cavaliers started off the game cold, shooting just 8-for-35 in the first half.

Cavs seek win against Tigers

The No. 24 women's basketball team will face ACC opponent Clemson tonight at the John Paul Jones Arena. The Cavaliers' (15-6, 4-3 ACC) four-game win streak came to a close last Sunday with a 64-57 loss against Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, despite the efforts of freshman guard Lexie Gerson, who scored a career-high 15 points.
