The Virginia men’s golf team finished the Linger Longer Invitational in second place out of 15 teams, with a combined three-round score of 846 (18-Under).
The Cavaliers finished the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in second place and the General Hackler Championship in thirteenth place.
After an outstanding fall season, the Virginia men’s golf team enters the 2017 spring season on a mission.
Thanks to senior captain Jimmy Stanger’s birdie on the final hole, the No. 7 Virginia men’s golf team finished tied for first place with co-champion No. 23 Texas in the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate this past weekend.

The No. 21 Virginia men’s golf team started the season off this past weekend in impressive fashion, finishing first place in a record-breaking performance at the highly competitive Carpet Capital Collegiate tournament.
After a successful past season, in which the Cavaliers made it to the national championships and finished the year ranked 22nd nationally, the team hopes to achieve even more this upcoming season.
The Virginia men’s golf team tied for eighth place at the ACC Tournament, hosted this past weekend at the Old North State Club in New London, N.C. The Cavaliers struggled to keep pace with some of the top programs in the nation over the course of the weekend, suffering final round setbacks to post a team total of 6-over 870.

Virginia men’s golf wrapped up their spring season with a third-place finish this past weekend at the Wolfpack Invitational in Raleigh, completing a sweep of top-five finishes in each of the team’s five spring tournaments.
