Candle in the Wind

What is more Jeffersonian than the Lawn, with the Rotunda in the backdrop, swarming with students and faculty, late at night, candles in hand, protesting social injustice?

This is your chance, political activists. So gear up in warm clothing and get out there to voice your concern.

A candlelight vigil will take place tonight at 9:00 on the Lawn in honor of the victims of the September 22 hate crime in Roanoke. Forty-three year old Danny Lee Overstreet was killed and six others wounded when Ronald Edward Gay, a 54-year-old Vietnam War veteran, walked into the Roanoke gay bar Backstreet Caf
