Emmitt Smith is a Cardinal

Former Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith has agreed in principal to sign with the Arizona Cardinals. His new contract is rumored to be for two years and worth $7-8 million. Smith is now in his 14th season in the NFL and is the league's all-time leading rusher.

New Dallas Head coach Bill Parcells released Smith four weeks ago after discussions about Smith's contract. Releasing Smith was part of Dallas owner Jerry Jones plan to overhaul his team in the off-season.
