Cavaliers pick up third guard in early signing period

The Virginia women's basketball team today announced that it has received a national letter of intent from Takisha Granberry.

Granberry is rated No. 18 in the country by All-Star Girls and No. 22 by the Blue Star Index. The 5'11" guard from West Charlotte, N.C. is a Street & Smith's All-American. Playing for West Charlotte High School, Granberry averaged 16.8 point, 10.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

But much of their work goes into planning summer orientation sessions. Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond. Along with her role as associate director, summer Orientation leaders and OTP staff work continually to provide a safe and memorable experience for incoming students.
