"Hi, I'm calling to express my outrage regarding Megan Peloquin's April 14th column. Peloquin's column insulted all the hard-working, decent Americans who wear socks and sandals together. Like anyone else, in the summer I find that my feet get too hot when I wear shoes. Yet I also find that if I where sandals by themselves, the straps chaff my feet. So what do I do? I wear socks with sandals. Is that so wrong? Should I really suffer through discomfort merely to satisfy the arbitrary standards of fashion elitists? Many great people including Joan of Arc have died for the right to wear whatever clothes they want. I'm willing to do the same regardless of what Peloquin and the other fashion fascists have to say about it."

"I don't think everyone on Friday should be driving their car around. They should ride their bike. It is so much more environmentally friendly, and there is just too much traffic in Charlottesville on Friday. Take it easy. Peace."

"Television is the ultimate of evils. People watch television, and they just waste too much time. If you don't watch television, you can do so much more in your day."

"What is with the rainy disgusting weather? It needs to stop. Also, I would like students at U.Va. to be intelligent enough to understand that just because a day is warmer than the day preceding it, that does not mean it is actually warm. That being said, shorts and skirts are not appropriate when it is cold out. I know we all want to wear cute clothes, but give me a break. And also, don't wear flip-flops when it is raining. Thanks."
