Virginia women's rowing looks for fifth consecutive conference championship

Estimated reading time: 0 minutes

The women's rowing team has won the past four ACC rowing championships and will attempt to keep that streak alive, when the fifth tournament is held Saturday on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C.

Virginia's first varsity eight team is ranked sixth in the nation and should get its toughest competition from Duke, whose first varsity eight is ranked 20th. The Cavaliers' second varsity eight crew defeated Ohio State and Michigan in last Saturday's ACC/Big Ten Regatta and was named ACC Crew of the Week for their performance.

Clemson, Duke, North Carolina and Virginia will all send teams to compete in the championships.
