Women's golf finishes seventh in first-ever ACC tournament appearance

The Virginia women's golf team finished seventh in its first-ever ACC Tournament appearance in Clemmons, N.C. last weekend. Virginia shot a final round of 304 (+20) to take its overall tournament tally to 915(+63). No.1 ranked Duke, the defending national champion, claimed the title with a final round of 273 (-11) and a combined total of 838 (-14). Freshman Leah Wigger was the highest ranked Cavalier with a final round of 71(even),which gave her a combined total of 217 (+4) and 11th place in the conference.

Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond. Along with her role as associate director, summer Orientation leaders and OTP staff work continually to provide a safe and memorable experience for incoming students.
