Virginia sophomores Katherine Blair and Mia Link helped the U.S.A Junior National Team reach the finals of the Pan Am Junior Games. Blair and Link both earned silver medals and helped the U.S.A. qualify for the Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile this fall.
Link, a midfielder, and Blair, a goalkeeper, started both games in the championship round. In the semifinals against Chile, Blair kept the Chileans scoreless until the 68th minute to help the Americans win 2-1.
